近年來，兒童青少年的近視問題日益嚴重且低齡趨勢明顯，已成為重大社會公共衛(wèi)生問題。今天我們就來看看和“近視”相關(guān)的表達。

近視

近視的醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)術(shù)語是myopia，但是日常生活中人們都不會說，通常大家會說nearsighted / shortsighted。

Tom is nearsighted/shortsighted because he used to play games in darkness whole night long.

湯姆近視是因為他過去經(jīng)常晚上在黑夜里玩一整晚游戲。

遠視

遠視的醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)術(shù)語是hyperopia，但是同樣，人們也不會這樣說，一般會說farsighted/ longsighted。嗯，和近視的單詞其實是對應(yīng)的。

Lily's grandpa is farsighted so he needs to hold the newspaper far from eyes.

莉莉的爺爺有遠視，所以報紙總要拿得很遠。

散光

散光的名詞是astigmatism，如果要表達自己有散光可以說：I am astigmatic.

度數(shù)

在中文中，我們會說“我近視200度”、“我散光100度”，于是，當(dāng)我們要用英文來表達自己的度數(shù)時，第一反應(yīng)就是“degree”，然而你這么說，也不會有人聽懂...

英文中有兩個詞是表達眼睛度數(shù)的：prescription和diopters 　

不同的是，prescription 指的是眼睛的度數(shù)，而diopters則是眼睛度數(shù)的單位，也就是屈光度。　

negative diopters （近視度數(shù)）　

positive diopters（遠視度數(shù)）　

通常配眼鏡或者問別人眼睛度數(shù)的時候，可以說：　

What's your eyeglasses prescription? 　

What is your eyesight? 　

How good is your vision?

如果想回答“我近視/遠視400度”，可以說：　

I am nearsighted/farsighted with 4.0 diopters.

再給大家補充一些相關(guān)知識：　

眼鏡還有另一種說法：spectacles，其實和glasses是同等用法，只不過是spectacles這個單詞比較正式，一般人不會這么說話罷了... 　

隱形眼鏡：contact lenses 　

眼科醫(yī)生：eye doctor/ophthalmologist 　

無框眼鏡：rimless glasses 　

角膜：cornea 　

瞳孔：pupil 　

眼球：eyeball 　

近視不深、頗深、極深的說法：mildly/moderately/ severely shortsighted. 　

眼保健操：eye exercises 　

想去配眼鏡，最直接的表達就是：get a pair of glasses 　

關(guān)于近視的表達：　

1. I'll have my sight tested tomorrow. My vision is a little blurry recently. 　

最近看東西有點模糊，我明天去檢查視力�！�

2. He finally realized that he was shortsighted and went to the optician. 　

他終于明白他眼睛近視了，于是去配了眼鏡。

3. You'll go cross-eyed. 　

你會變斜視眼的。

4. I have high astigmatism, and at night when I look at the stars or streetlamps, the light distorts into a diamond like shape. 　

我散光度數(shù)很高，晚上看星星或路燈的時候，覺得燈光看起來像鉆石的光芒一樣�！�

5. I have double-vision. 　

我有復(fù)視。　

6. You may wear a patch over your good eye to help fix your lazy eye. 　

在視力正常的眼睛上帶個眼罩有利于糾正另一只眼睛的弱視�！�

7. How strong are your glasses? 4 diopters. 　

你近視多少度?四百度�！�

8. Her eyesight grew dim with age. 　

她的視力因年歲的增長而變差了。　

9. Some people can have their vision restored by a surgical operation. 　

有些人可以通過外科手術(shù)恢復(fù)視力�！�

10. You're so lucky to have 20/20 vision. 　

你有1.0的視力，真幸運。
