bother的意思有“努力，盡力；費(fèi)心”。

He hasn't even bothered to write.

他甚至根本就沒動(dòng)筆。

Don't bother making the bed - I'll do it later.

不用麻煩你鋪床——回頭我來鋪。

can't be bothered就是我們常說的懶得（做）；不想費(fèi)力，可以搭配bother to do以及bother doing。
